The conference will open with a welcoming session, offering an introduction and setting the tone for the day ahead. This will be followed by the opening keynote, presented by Ihra Lill Scharning.


Ihra Lill Scharning (she/her, b. 1986) is a visual artist based in Oslo. She works with film, performance, sculpture and text, and has a long-standing commitment to disability rights. Scharning’s practice centres on questions of accessibility, representation and power in the arts and cultural field, with a particular focus on experiences that fall outside dominant norms of who is given space and authority. She is trained as an art teacher and has broad experience at the intersection of art, politics and organisational work, including as a personal assistance advisor, political advisor, and deputy chair of Disabled Queers Norway.
