Searvva Dolvot campii - join the Sámi camp Dolvot!
Connect with other young Sámi musicians and joikers at the very first Dolvot camp especially dedicated to joik.
Since Dolvot was initiated by Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen and JM Norway in 2021, the project has held several memorable camps, facilitated new musical collaborations and layd the grounds for new releases. This fall’s camp will bring something completely new: held from October 17th to 19th in Guovdageaidnu/ Kautokeino in Sápmi, the focus is on joik - specifically the Northern Sámi tradition.
During the weekend we will get the chance to learn from older joikers and each other, discuss our own practice and build new connections in beautiful surroundings of Guovdageaidnu.
In partnership with Davvi Division, Ijahis idja and House of Folk Music we invite participants with a Northern Sápmi connection - If you are interested in building community, exploring or strengthening your own joiking practice, apply to be part of the camp here! Note that the primary working language will be North Sámi.
Applications are reviewed continuously, so don’t wait to submit yours!
Dolvot is made possible with support from Nordic Culture Point and Erasmus Plus.
