Searvva Dolvot campii - join the Dolvot camp!

Would you like to meet other young joikers and explore joik practices more deeply? Dolvot Joik returns to Guovdageaidnu/Kautokeino this October.

Dolvot is a meeting place for young Sámi musicians, initiated by Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen and JM Norway in 2021. After several years of songwriting camps, Dolvot introduced its first camp dedicated specifically to joik in 2025. This year we return to Guovdageaidnu for another weekend of community, exchange and learning.

Dolvot Joik will take place from 9–11 October 2026. During the weekend, you will have time to develop your own joiking practice, learn from other joikers and share experiences and knowledge across generations and national borders. The focus of this camp is to create space to explore joik together, ask questions and strengthen confidence in using joik as a living cultural practice.

We are looking for young joikers and people with an interest in joik from across Sápmi who speak North Sámi. Whether you want to deepen an existing practice, learn from others or become part of a wider community, we encourage you to apply.

Participation is free, and Dolvot covers travel, accommodation and meals during the camp. Please note that after you are accepted registration is binding.
